Upcoming and Announcements

Modified Parish Office Schedule, Monday, October 14

The parish office will be closed on Monday, October 14 in observance of Columbus/Indigenous Peoples Day. There will be Low Mass at 10 a.m., but no other liturgies or programming.

Newcomer Brunch, Sunday October 20 at 10 a.m.

The Saint Mark’s staff is excited to welcome our newcomers to a time of fellowship. Whether you’ve joined us recently or have been here for many months and are interested in furthering your connection, we’re excited to have you. The clergy and staff will answer any questions and introduce you to all that is available to you and your family. Brunch will be held between services at 10 a.m. in the Rectory Parlor. If you have any questions, please reach out to Gabriela Montequin.

All Hallows’ Eve, Thursday, October 31 at 5:30 p.m.
Families and children are welcome to stop by Saint Mark’s for a short liturgy and candy before heading out to trick-or-treat. The liturgy will feature lesser known and fantastical biblical readings such as King Saul & the Witch of Endor (1 Samuel 28:3-25), prayers, and appropriately spooky music. Mr. Meineke will bring choristers to join us and costumes are encouraged!

All Saints’ Day, Solemn High Mass, Friday, November 1 at 7 p.m.
All Saints’ Day is one of the principal feasts of the church year and when we acknowledge the light that shines through the Saints!

All Souls’ Day, Solemn Requiem Mass, Saturday, November 2 at 11 a.m.
On All Souls’ Day we remember all those whose lives and memories are dear to us. The Parish Choir will be joined by the Boy & Girl Choristers to sing Gabriel Faure’s charming setting of the Requiem texts.

Choral Evensong & Benediction, Sunday, November 3 at 4 p.m.
Join us for a sung liturgy of prayers, scripture, and music sung by the Parish Choir. The Canticles will be the Second Service by William Bryd, the anthem will be The Beatitudes by Arvo Pärt, along with music of Josquin des Prez and William Smith. There will be prayers for our nation and the upcoming election as part of this liturgy.
